Dance Marathon at NC State!

“Our mission is to inspire students to join hand in hand with families in order to empower kids at Duke Children’s Hospital by raising funds and awareness throughout the NC State community.”

Dance Marathon at NC State hosted our first annual marathon in February of 2013. This was the start of a new tradition on NC State’s campus. Dance Marathon at NC State’s focus is to raise awareness and funds for the kids at our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Duke Children’s Hospital located in Durham, NC. We, as an organization, strive to connect our campus through these efforts that demonstrate empowerment, passion, and limitless opportunity to make a difference.

Throughout the school year, we host many events fundraising for Duke Children’s and end our efforts with a 12-hour dance marathon celebration during the spring semester. We stand and dance for 12 hours straight in celebration of all the kids we have worked so hard to help and in turn, have impacted our lives through their inspiration and heroic journeys. This time also brings together NC State students, the Raleigh community, the kids we support, and their families to have one big celebration without any worries or fear of the future.

Dance Marathon at NC State works each year to make a difference for the kids at Duke Children’s Hospital. No matter where you come from, where you’re going, or where your passion lies, you can find a place at DM at NC State. This is just the beginning of many miracles being made for our miracle children.
